"THE INTERVENTION: Moment of Awakening" – Heritage Architecture Theater

2026 marks the beginning of the 70th-anniversary commemoration of the "YPT" golden trio—Yam Kim-fai (Y), Pak Suet-sin (P), and Tong Tik-sang (T). Inspired by this legendary partnership, the "Dream-Seeking Series" embarks on a journey of the soul through cross-disciplinary creativity, encompassing six distinct projects. An Immersive Experiment Inspired by *The Peony Pavilion* She has made up her mind. She is going to become a Cantonese opera performer. Her friends think it’s a terrible idea. They’ve tried reasoning with her, talking to her, and even stopping her. Yet, she refuses to give up. So, there is only tonight. Before she takes the plunge, her friends have decided to stage an "intervention." And we need you. Before she changes the course of her life, before it’s too late— we have only tonight. Tonight, you are more than just an audience member. You might be a childhood friend, a relative, a university classmate, or a former colleague. Everyone is assigned a role, with a single mission: to persuade her to abandon this dream. We’ve all heard it before: "Wake up!" "Be realistic!" "Stop dreaming!" But some dreams—if you let them slip away, will there ever be another chance? Drawing inspiration from *The Peony Pavilion*, this experience drifts between dreams and reality. Cantonese opera meets Cantopop; tradition collides with the present day. What begins as an intervention designed for her gradually takes an unexpected turn. Participants will be assigned a simple persona; no acting skills or prior performance experience are required.
