In a city-state shrouded in bewilderment, a solitary cleaning woman spends her days sweeping up the debris that no one else notices—the passions, thoughts, and connections left behind by others. Then, one day, a blank sheet of paper drifts quietly into her room. Following this scrap of paper, she leaves the palace and heads toward a long-abandoned wharf. There, an old sailboat—now claimed by seagulls—awaits her. With no sailing experience and no crew, she has only her broom, a bucket, and the moonlight. She takes up her broom and sets a course into the unknown. This tale of solitude, self-discovery, and transcendence is adapted from *The Tale of the Unknown Island* by the Portuguese Nobel laureate José Saramago. The performance is wordless, woven together through paper, physical movement, and music. The performer embodies multiple roles using body language and props, crafting a poetic voyage that transcends language—all unfolding amidst the moonlight and the paper. The ship is ready. Are you prepared to set sail?
