2026 NTT "Meet the Giants" — Robert Lepage × Schaubühne Berlin: *Faith, Money, War and Love*

Created by Robert Lepage in collaboration with the resident ensemble at Berlin’s Schaubühne, this production draws inspiration from the four suits of a deck of cards to weave together four distinct narrative threads—love, faith, war, and money. The stories follow a mother who gives birth to twins amidst a prophecy of doom; a wife who becomes obsessed with gambling on Valentine’s Day; a soldier returning from the battlefield, haunted by the loss of his comrades; and a gay couple seeking to have a child through a surrogate. Spanning over 80 years of German history and infused with the signature storytelling wizardry of this "theatrical magician," the work unfolds as an epic, five-hour theatrical experience.
