He first rose to fame as a founding member and guitarist for the legendary Japanese rock band BOØWY. In 1988, he launched a highly successful solo career with the release of his album *GUITARHYTHM*, which was recorded at the iconic Abbey Road Studios in London. On the international stage, HOTEI is perhaps best known for his signature instrumental masterpiece, "Battle Without Honor or Humanity"—a track that gained global recognition as a key piece of the soundtrack for Quentin Tarantino’s film *Kill Bill*. Over the course of his illustrious career, he has collaborated and performed alongside a host of legendary music icons, including David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, Iggy Pop, and Brian Setzer.
